Well, we are coming to the close of another year, a year like no other in our modern history. COVID-19 was a whisper, and then a roar as it circumnavigated the globe. Tragically, as you all know, many were lost: family, and friends and loved ones. It has pushed us to our very limits physically and emotionally. Mental health issues are the norm right now, the stressors are incredible, and to have to go through cancer treatment at the same time is just not fair. Treatments have been delayed or cancelled altogether. Thankfully we have this WOWS! group to turn to to discuss the ups and downs - some of which have nothing to do with cancer, we support each other and you all have been wonderful - you have shared and offered up suggestions, but most of all, you have listened to one another. I have found comfort in being with you all.
I am thrilled to say that after surviving cancer three separate times, one of our own has had COVID-19 and has survived!!! We are all blessed that she is still able to share her experience and wisdom with all at WOWS!
From Arland and myself, we wish you all a very safe and Happy Holiday Season, and wishes for a bright New Year.
We are here to take your calls during the holidays if you need us.
Til 2021...be kind to yourself. Keep well.
L & A
PS - Here's my New Year's resolution: 2020, we need to put you in the past. Hopefully, we can look forward to a "new normal" in 2021.
