Tonight's topic? How to heal post-radiation burn naturally. Once you are healed well enough not to have open sores or wounds, but your skin is still itchy and peeling, try virgin coconut oil as a moisturizer - all natural, very soothing, keeps skin happy. Virgin coconut oil on its own has anti-bacterial properties, try it on dry, itchy skin, to moisturize - on hemorrhoids to cool and soothe, on your girlie parts to lubricate, up your nostrils to stop dryness, which can be experienced by anyone who has gone through chemo or menopause, All the above have been tried with our members at various times, with unilateral success!
If your mouth is feeling dry, due to chemo or medication, try "PULLING" the coconut oil by putting a spoon of coconut oil in your mouth, "swish" it back and forth for a few minutes, BUT DON'T SPIT INTO THE SINK! It will harden in your drain. The solution? Spit into a tissue and dispose of in the trash. Our members have tried it and it seems to work!
Did you know that you can use coconut oil with a couple of drops of lavender essential oil mixed in as an all natural deodorant? Try it! It is my go-to deodorant now. Lavender oil is also has anti-bacterial properties, try adding a few drops to your coconut oil for external use only on minor cuts and scrapes. Add a few drops to bath water for a relaxing bath that smells divine! I also mix water and a few drops of lavender oil in a spray bottle - I mist my pillow before bed for a relaxing sleep. I also use it as a "pre-potty" spray - just a couple of squirts in the toilet bowl before going cuts down on the amount of time you need to leave the bathroom fan running!
