Oh those PATHOLOGY Reports!

So tonight we discovered that once we have had our respective surgeries, we have gone through/are about to embark on chemo or radiation or both, we have to decide about further treatment options, but no one has the time to explain in basic ENGLISH what it means when our oncology team make the decisions they make regarding our treatment plans. It is confusing, at the time we may not have the full faculties to cope with what we are being told, let alone understand it all. While I am a breast cancer survivor and the information below is for breast cancer pathology, it may help those of you with other cancers.

I have found a great resource for getting it all put down on paper. This has allowed my oncology team to still be effective with their limited time constraints, at the same time I have answers in writing so I can digest it all and make choices. The American Cancer society puts it all in one easy document:
