I guess this never got posted, even though we talked about it many times.

This is a fabulous resource of things to think about, and some of the legalities:

answers to common questions about what to do, and what support is available, when a loved one dies in Ontario.

I found this Funeral Centre and Crematorium's website really good, it also has an online form (I printed it out and filled it in rather than have it stored on their site) of things you need to think about when you are pre-planning your funeral.

but many service providers are available within Ontario:

Bereavement Authority of Ontario

The Bereavement Authority of Ontario administers provisions of the Funeral, Burial and Cremation Services Act, 2002 (FBCSA) on behalf of the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services. Responsible for protection of the public interest, the Bereavement Authority of Ontario regulates and supports licensed funeral establishments, cemetery operators, crematorium operators, transfer service operators, funeral directors, funeral preplanners, transfer service sales representatives, cemetery sales representatives, and crematorium sales representatives across Ontario.
